Misha Collins: I think he would have the whole tramp stamp thing going on. Start wearing his trousers a little lower so you could see his G string.
(Asylum 10)This needed to be done.
OMG
Cas is an angel, and he doesn’t even try to get the angels or God to forgive him.
He tried to atone for his sins so he could forgive himself.
The only person he wants forgiveness from is Dean.

Supernatural AU5 : Human!Cas & Angel!Dean + Demon!Sam
Sammy used “Puppy Dog Eyes”! It was super effective.
Cas let him stay.“Dammit Dean my house is not a petting zoo!
What’s next? The Easter Bunny?”
This isn’t meant to start anything but I did find it interesting how different Dean’s reactions were in Sacrifice to the thought of losing Sam vs. the thought of losing Cas. When Dean found out Cas was planning on shutting the gates of heaven, he very calmly asked Cas if he understood what that meant for him. Cas acknowledged that he did and Dean just kind of shook his head a little and accepted it and that was that. While I am sure he would miss Cas, it wouldn’t be the end of the world for Dean like it would be if he lost Sam. With Sam, Dean was clearly desperate to get him and to convince him to come off the ledge. He made it abundantly clear who his priority was and would always be. Sam comes first before all else and this will never change.Their lives will always come back to and revolve around each other. They are each other’s happiness and I think showing the 2 different reactions from Dean was meant to push this point further home.
This isn’t a slight against Castiel, it is just showcasing what Supernatural has always been about.
I agree completely. It doesn’t mean that Dean doesn’t care about Castiel, but Dean knows just how depressed and guilt ridden Cas was over what he did in Heaven. He understood Castiel’s need to redeem himself. Much as he might miss his friend, he wasn’t going to stand in his way. Castiel’s journey was not his journey. Dean’s journey will also include his brother. I think you’re absolutely right that showing the differing reactions should make it clear to anyone, if they had any doubt, that Sam will always be Dean’s priority, and Sam’s willingness to walk away from his quest because Dean asked it of him shows that Dean is Sam’s priority as well.
I agree, but I didn’t think that shutting the gates of heaven meant Cas would die, or that Dean got that impression. So, there’s the the consideration that the two situations are not equal. However, as I said, I agree completely. You know what struck me most about all of Dean and Cas’ scenes in that last episode?
Now, it could have been an ad libbed scene Jensen and/or Misha threw in there for comedic enjoyment. If it’s not, then put together with Dean’s differing reactions to Cas’ vs. Sam’s predicaments and his statement to Sam that he always comes first, this little sentence just drives the point home. Moreover, it’s said by Dean to Cas and well, to me, that means it was directed at a certain audience. Together it all reads, make no mistake, this show is about two brothers and their devotion to one another (throw in a comedic ‘Destiel parallel’).
I feel like you missed the whole point of the Dean and Cas relationship this season.

It’s a long long road
But I’ll always come back to you
In my head
You tell me things you’ve never said
And I choose to forget
And take the good and leave the rest
Oh, the illusion’s getting old
And you don’t answer when I call
I would have given you it all
